We want to bring the ice rink back to Livingston
The Idea
Livingston’s old ice rink, Icelandia, which was built in the late 80’s, is now a distant memory. However, the people of Livi often speak about how much enjoyment they had at the rink, giving them a sense of wellbeing and community.
We want to bring it back, bigger and better, so we once again have ice hockey teams, skating and curling in West Lothian. This will also provide a much needed leisure facility and another community hub where people can meet and spend quality time together improving their mental and physical wellbeing.
As with the other two projects, any profit will be reinvested to support job creation, education, training and rehabilitation within the community.

Benefits
Physical Activity: Ice skating provides a full-body workout that improves muscle strength, balance, and coordination
Mental Health: Skating releases endorphins, helping to boost mood and reduce stress levels
Social Interaction: Ice skating is a fun and social activity, providing a sense of connection and strengthening social bonds
Job Creation: The ice rink will train and employ local people who are out of work
